Account Specialist (Support)

Overview:

Supports all levels of Account Managers with daily tasks across our client base to ensure client retention and exceed client expectations. This individual is part of a team within the department that has an assigned client list - administering and executing client programs. The Account Specialist has direct client interaction. As a key operational contact, plays a role in process improvement ideas and the growth of the client's account. Assigned clients may include those defined as low to moderate complexity, or moderate to high complexity.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for updates and changes to quotes and assist with quote set-up

  • Responsible for executing on assigned projects

  • Provide accurate and timely responses to client requests within SLA

  • Participate in client conference calls and internal meetings with high degree of tact and professionalism

  • Demonstrate MyIntelispend.com ordering capabilities and self-service functionality

  • Assist with internal and external reporting needs and data extracts

  • Execute and resolve Customer Service issues in a timely manner

  • Liaison between internal functional departments

  • Collaborate and make recommendations for process improvements

  • Assist in the preparation of client business reviews

  • Support special processing and invoicing for assigned clients.

  • Work in partnership with an Account Manager on assigned accounts

  • Maintain base knowledge of Blackhawk Engagement Solutions' products and service offerings

  • Responsible for management of CID process

  • Support onboarding and maintenance of closed loop merchants

  • Assist with Client renewals

  • All other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Proficient skills with MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and easily adapt to change

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Demonstrate a positive, client-focused attitude and customer service focus

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment

  • Problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Detail-oriented, creative thinking and innovative decision making

  • Receptive to performance feedback and continuously strive to improve

  • Display assertiveness and demonstrate independent thinking and decision making

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships


EDUCATION and/or
Experience:



  • BBA or BS preferred but not required

  • Minimum of 1 year industry experience or experience in building and managing client relationships preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
