- Under general direction, investigates, negotiates, and assesses solutions to resolve all types of customer concerns relating to shipment status, service, charges, billing problems, and delay claims.
- Responds to verbal and written inquiries from agents, shipping customers, national accounts, military personnel, other internal departments, and outside governmental agencies (DOT, BBB, Attorney General, etc.) on behalf of agents and Headquarters management.
- Handles verbal and written complaints regarding pre-delivery, post-delivery, and delay claim concerns.
- Researches inquiry/concern thoroughly by reviewing the related file, shipping documents, computer system memo pad notes, and contacting all agents or Headquarters personnel involved.
- Concerns researched include, but are not limited to, the status of a shipment, service failures, billing/charge issues, quotes, delay claim provisions, and the interpretation of tariff definitions and services through Rates and Tariffs.
- Determines the financial liability for the claim.
Working hours: Days
--Two or more years of related business experience in a call center or customer service environment.
--Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and proficiency in the face of pressure and time constraints.
--Highly effective analytical, decision-making, and written/verbal communication skills.
--Ability to investigate complex business problems, develop effective recommendations, negotiate and/or present solutions, and resolve problems in a highly professional and tactful manner.
--Highly organized and able to set priorities effectively.
--Willing and able to work required overtime when necessary to meet operating and business requirements.
