We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to join our Pre-Construction team.
Position is responsible for the coordination of all aspects of the pre-construction process, including bidding, soliciting of subcontractors, and working with clients, architects, vendors, and trade partners while building a foundation of trust with our teams.
The successful candidate's role is to work with the Director of Pre-Construction from a project's early concepts to final contract.
Position will provide support for the management of proposals from receipt, through compilation, and turnover to Operations, as well as negotiation during early release phases.
The position is an office-based role.
The successful candidate will be expected to interface and develop working relationships with existing and new clients and trade partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Participating in design coordination meetings and provide constructability feedback.
Prepare estimates and budgets at milestone intervals as required on a project-by-project basis.
Develop bid scope for trade packages and vet subcontractors to ensure compliance with bid scope.
Review drawings and specifications; have a thorough understanding of the scope of work.
Develop RFI's and/or clarifications to ensure adequate coverage.
Assemble a comprehensive cost estimate and include available value engineering options.
Plan site logistics with input from field.
Knowledgeable in construction means and methods.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Maintain thorough understanding of contract documents and subcontracts.
Prepare meeting minutes for pre-construction meetings.
The Ideal Candidate:
5
years of construction project management or estimating experience ideal.
Construction-related degree preferred.
Experience with the regional St.
Louis construction industry.
Bright self-starter with high attention to detail and willingness to take direction.
Familiarity with project management and accounting software.
