AR AP Representative II needs 3
years experience in accountingAdministrative Assistant requires:
-AAS or BS degree in Accounting, Business, or similar (will consider years of relevant experience in place of degree)-Efficient, detail oriented, and capable of maintaining a high level of discretion-Knowledge of general accounting procedures, preferably in accruals-Experience with shipping companies preferred-Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred-Sage accounting software experience preferred:
Sage 300 / ACCPAC-Lawson S3 accounting software experience preferred-Capable of problem-solving with little oversight-Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written-Experience working at a subsidiary company and working with sister companies preferred-Flexible and able to handle frequent interruptions and changing prioritiesAdministrative Assistant duties:
-Perform a variety of tasks, from standard data entry through more complex analysis and G/L account coding.
-Daily and detailed review of shipping invoices, primarily from FedEx and UPS.
-Initiate periodic shipping charge disputes or rebill requests, as needed.
-Track all shipping charges in Excel, separated by account codes.
-Match invoices with corresponding orders to determine when invoice is eligible for payment.
- Respond to vendors, particularly regarding payment inquiries.
-Review & verify 3-way match invoices in Lawson Accounts Payable system.
-Review & enter GL coding to expense invoices in Lawson Accounts Payable system.
-Liaise with other departments regarding invoice approvals, as needed.
-Support Accounts Receivable by processing daily credit card receipts and refunds in Sage AR system.
-Light filing, as needed.
